Day after Tomorrow": Which film did you like? How did the
film make you feel? Why did you like it? What aspects worked well, and

ReplyDeleteto create highly contemporary film based on the classic story. As for me, i didn't realy like the script, because the film makers have taken as a basis the classic,
boring and not intresting plot that tell about doomsday. But people like this direction and the film of this type. Soundtrack was amlifire feels fear and hopelessness.
Actors played impeccably and emotionally. After watching this film i was impressed. It's was inspire me to rethink some moments of my life.

ReplyDeleteI like this film more, then Stardust, because it’s more realistic and exiting persenally for me. Maybe fantasy it’s not my ganre because I don’t like when in film use difference magic or important inaction. I know that a lot of people like witch films, but not me. So, in film “The Day after Tomorrow” show like ecology problem make a big Acopylapse. A lot of people just die because tsunami for broken iceberg destroyed cities and even country’s. Ecology Problems in this film show me and other people than we need stop damage nature. Because we need stop make a pollution in country's(etc. New York or Shanhai) and go to electric cars. Or stop deforestation etc. Or stop use limited resources etc. But all this a my think, and all this it’s my opinion after film. Sure, for big politics which have a lot of money - it’s not a big problem. They more worried about new cars for they son, or about new restoraunt for they woman.
What's about soundtrack? Honestly, I didn’t noticed soundtrack in this film. Maybe soundtrack very quiet, maybe I just careless, I don’t know.
About my love charter? I like a Kenneth Welsh as Vice Prisident. Why? Because he show all “double-dealing” of goverment in this Apocalypse, and just good actor.
So, if honestly - I didn’t like a films, because I prefer video-games more than films, because games can give you more real(!!!) emotions and expirience. But it’s other topic for disscusion. :)

So, "After tomorrow." In the film about the catastrophe there are wonderful special effects, intriguing music and good acting. Yes, there is a fantasy in this film, but it has a lot of meaning. sometimes it impresses the stupidity of heroes, but what to do?

If to choose between “Stardust” and “The Day After Tomorrow” I like the first film better.
ReplyDeleteTo begin with, the plot is much more exciting than I thought at first.
In my imagination, Tristan(one of the main characters) would find an ordinary piece of rock and bring it to Viktoria and they would get married. But instead, he found Yvaine - a star and they had lots of scary and romantic adventures, Tristan helped her, saved her and fell in love with her.
If to be honest, Yvaine is my favorite character. We can argue about whether she is beautiful or not, but her inner beauty amazes...
She doesn't need Tristan strolling in the woods in search of some treasure or his money. Her love is unconditional. Her ask is quite simple - she can give her heart in exchange for his and that is really mind-blowing because we don't usually see it in our real life.
And as to the last question... How did the film make me feel? I'll tell you this. I watched the film till 2 in the morning and then I wanted to rewatch it again.
All things said and done, "Stardust" is a fascinating film and I recommend to watch it everyone despite their age.

ReplyDelete"The day after tomorrow "it's one of the best science-fiction film I ever watched. So film about big mistake by governments.
When global warming was started they thought that everything would be solved by itself. But one of the scientists was always right. His name is Jack Hall. He is my favorite character. He told them about after-effects of global warming. But ministers and president didn't listen to him. As a result the world and people were in danger...
The plot was unpredictable, so I watched to subtitles(it was so interesting). The actors were amazing. I really was believed them and to their history. But I don't like soundtrack. I watched many films where he was much better.
If I was film critic, I would give him mark like 7/10. I think that film not for everybody. But, if you like film about catastrophe, you should watch this film.
What makes Jack Hall your favourite character?
DeleteJack Hall been always brave and went to his goal. He had to save his son in the London. When the storm begin, he was not afraid of dangers. I like him because he is capable of self-sacrifice for the family.
DeleteBefore the holidays on our English lessons we watched two films such as "Stardust" and "The Day after Tomorrow". Most of all I liked the first movie because I love more romantic comedies than drama. The film was very intriguing to me, and I enjoyed watching this movie. I was very worried about the main characters. The game of actors was at the highest level. The decorations were fabulous, and the makeup of the three witches was a pleasant surprise to me. The film wasn’t boring because the script was very interesting. The sounds of nature and the songs which surrounded the characters were enjoyable. In my opinion, if I appreciate this movie, I would give it away 9 out of 10. My favorite character is Captain Shakespeare because he is very cool and funny. I really liked it when he tried different images.

ReplyDeleteBut.. Three weeks ago I had to watch a disaster movie at school. And..I must say: This movie made me think. Think about us, our planet and our nature.
This is "The day after tommorow".
In short: global warming on earth makes glaciers melt and 'cause of it climat on Earth changes, causing natural disasters. The temperature drops, and the earth begins to freeze very fast. In addition, huge tornadoes are still coming...
Jack, is a scientist and he tries warn the government of danger, but nobody listen to him. Jack's son - Sam be in New-York with his friends and girlfriend and cause of problems with weather they can't go home. They must survive in a huge library, burning all books, trying to keep warm and don't freeze to death... They must wait until Sam's father saves them..
From the first second of the film you feel fear for the lives of the characters.
The main character of film Sam, hit me most of all. He is soooo smart and sooo brave. This man ready to die just to save others lives.
In fact, this movie is wonderful! Perfect music, amazing special effects and good actrors make the movie incredible!
So that even I can say with confidence that I really liked this disaster movie.
P.s. But I still don’t like this genre, LOL))

For me Sam is very brave, because he did everything he can for safe his and others life. He didn't think only about him, he tried to do everything he can or can't.. yeah, he tried to do something he can't, but he tried. For example when girl(I forget her name) was ill, Sam with his friends went to find the medicine, although was so cold, and they could freeze to death, but he found the medicine. And also he is so smart, because when the wolves attacked them, Sam quickly reacted and maneged to protect himself and his friends)

For me, the flight of a flying ship among lightning has become the most memorable moment of the film. The play of actors is also top notch. I was particularly impressed by the game Michelle Pfeiffer. Moreover, Robert De Niro was an excellent captain with interesting features in his personality. The tale ended according to the law of the genre: good triumphs over evil, love, wedding, and so on.

Film “The day after tomorrow “ :
ReplyDeleteThis movie I liked the realities of the events. It forces us to think about what will happen with our planet in a month, a year, ten years, if we do not stop it polluting earth and air, cut down forests. If we don’t stop, we can see our future in this film, but for us, it won’t end as quickly as for the characters of this film.
I don’t like film-catastrophe, but this film very cool. In film tells about peoples who survive during in Ice Age, which came after global warming. The temperature gradually increased, as a result, glaciers melting, water level in the ocean growing up. Because of this, some cities was flooded. Temperature dropped to -101 degrees Celsius, the Ice Age has come.
What about your favourite character? What worked well? And your expectations?

While watching the film, I could feel such emotions: joy, sometimes laughter, excitement. As I said before, I liked a lot of things in the film, but there is something that didn’t like it: soundtracks (there are very few of them).
My favorite character is Tristan Thorn, I liked him because he played the role very well and because he is the main character.)

I like the film "Stardust" more than "The Day After Tomorrow". That's because my favourite genre of film is fiction, so "Stardust" is more interesting for me.
ReplyDeleteGreat spesial effects, exciting plot, good acting game and memorable characters took me in that magic world. And, what I like the most, beautiful love story and happy end. This film made me to think about people around me, and are they right people to love and help? Are they those people I want to see with me? While watching this fim, I was thinking to whome I help, whom I love, whom I don't love... And I tried to understand myself and realise who is really important for me.
"Stardust" is not only about magic and fallen star and the King. It's about relationships between men and women, brothers and sisters, kind people and evil people. So, if I interested you, you can watch "Stardust".(It's better to watch it in English)

DeleteRecently, we watched two films: «The day after tomorrow» and «Star dust». But I liked more the second film. First of all I like films of such genre. Secondly there was a lot of funny moments. The actors in the pic played well and special effects were enough. The director did a good job on this project. But the soundtrack in the film was not very dynamic.
ReplyDeleteI was more interested in the movie "After tomorrow." I tried to feel the emotions that people experienced in this situation. The film is very emotional and I did not expect that he would be so interested in me, but the desire to somehow look at him again did not occur to me. As for me, the idea is very interesting but primitive. I think this movie only for one time. But everybody wondered at what end of the world is possible and whether it is possible at all. The director, scriptwriter, and actors have been able to see one of the possible scenarios. The soundtracks and acting in the film are really good.

DeleteI really liked the film "The Day After Tomorrow", because I really like to watch all kinds of movies about post-apocalypse. I liked the movie because of the scale of the well-chosen soundtrack, and I also liked the special effects. What I didn’t like in this film is that the film is trying to make you sympathize with the characters, but some actors didn’t play very well and it’s just because of them that the atmosphere of this film is lost. Of the characters I liked Sam and Laura, Sam because he acted very decisively and cold-blooded, he also saved his friends from freezing and saved Laura from the infection she brought through the wound, I liked Laura because of the acting, she played the role very well You empathize with her as I liked her because she is kind and helps everyone, you can even remember the scene from the movie where she helped a woman and a child in a taxi. Those characters I didn’t like this policeman because he didn’t listen to Sam and led the people to inevitable death. I don’t really like the acting game of daddy Sam when his friend Frank cut off the rope and died, he screamed very much and he didn’t want to empathize . My personal rating for this movie is 6/10

"The day after tomorrow", it's maybe hard film to understading. Becouse for many people death it's hard, but not for me. I'm think that death it's normal, but not murder, penalty or death for earthquake.

It seems to me that the actors played their roles very well, because I was very worried about them. I think that the idea of a global catastrophe, where at one end of the world all life dies, and at the other - water washes away the cities, was very good, because it is very interesting for me.All I liked was Sam and his dad, because they acted in extreme situations, they were very confident and sensible about the situation. I didn’t like the vice president guy because he didn’t listen to scientists advices which could save a lot of people. I also disliked the cop because his inability to choose right actions killed people he led.

If I choose between them, it's better "The day after tomorrow". This is an apocalyptic-prophetic film. Shooting at the highest level as well as the quality of special effects. In scenes with stressful situations well chosen soundtrack.

Hey. I watched the films "The day after films" and "Stardust". Both films are interesting for viewing, but I liked "The Day After Scans" better. Why? Explains- "Stardust" is a film about the struggle for the throne between the sons of the king. Yes, this film is also interesting, but this film seemed to me too predictable. I liked the special effects of cataclysms like in 2004, but I do not understand how people moved along the streets at -100 ° , but as actors, everything worked brilliantly. Second film was "The day after tomorrow". All what I can say : " It is the best fantastic film that I have ever seen". Everything in this film is very interesting. In this film we see what may happen with our planet. The atmosphere in this film I like the most. After watching the movie I really felt very cold. Maybe it is because the film is very realistic. I heard one soundtrack and it isn't bad. In my opinion Jack Hall is the best character in this film. He didn't listen to the other and insisted on his opinion. For me film was interesting if after l watched it I like to think about it. This film made me look at fantastic movies from a different point of view.
Most of all, I liked the movie "Stardusr" .In this film there were elements of the comedy, but the film itself was in the genre of fantasy. I do not really love this genre, but the film is clearly impressive. The hot storylines, the discovery of the characters and the fantastic atmosphere. I was expecting less from the movie. But there were the people who impressed me clearly, this is the protagonist and star. Their actions and characters can inspire other people. Also, the very best moment of the film (in my opinion) is when the king's sons decide who will be the next king. The film's rating is from yourself 10 stars out of 10.
