Did you know that…? There are more life forms living on your skin than there are people on the planet.
Idiom of the Day: The grass is always greener on the other side (of the fence)  =   People are never satisfied with their own situation; they always think others have it better  😊
Did you know that…? James Buchanan, the 15th U.S. president continuously bought slaves with his own money in order to free them.
Creative Writing OK, guys, another creative writing task for you… and not an easy one…To fulfill the task you need to watch a four-minute video “A Tribute to Discomfort” (check you year-of-study page) in which Cory Richards photographed himself moments after an avalanche on Gasherbrum in the Himalayas on the boarder of Pakistan and China.  In this video, Richard says, “… (I had) no way of knowing that that image … was going to push my life in such a dramatic direction towards telling that larger story of what it means to hurt, what it means to triumph, and what it means to be human”.  So, over to you! What it means to hurt, what it means to triumph, and what it means to be human for you? This is the question you need to floor today:)))
Did you know that…? Coca-Cola would be green if coloring wasn’t added to it.
Please, check your year-of-study-pages for your homework assignment updates  😊  If you have any questions, of course feel free to ask. Hope to see you as sound as a bell next Monday:)

Idiom of the Day: It’s raining cats and dogs   = raining very heavily
Puzzle of the Day: In British English, what would you call the trunk of an automobile?
Groundhog Day (USA) Groundhog Day  is a popular tradition celebrated in the  United States  and  Canada  on February 2. It derives from the  Pennsylvania Dutch  superstition that if a  groundhog  emerging from its burrow on this day sees a shadow due to clear weather, it will retreat back into its den and  winter  will persist for six more weeks, and if he does not, due to cloudiness,  spring season  will arrive early. The  weather lore  was brought from German-speaking areas where the  badger  is the forecasting animal. This appears to be an enhanced version of the lore that clear weather on  Candlemas  forebodes a prolonged winter.
Creative Writing Ok, guys... since we are currently having Crime & Punishment lessons, I'm going to ask you a highly controversial question this time...and I believe, there is no easy way to answer my question... So, Henry Ford said " Capital   punishment  is as fundamentally wrong as a cure for crime as charity is wrong as a cure for poverty. " What do you think? Agree? Disagree? Will you make a decision with your heart  and not head?...Or vice versa? ... Of course, you have to explain your   voice in a choice... I. Cannot. Wait.:)))  Have a nice weekend and see you on Monday!
Idiom of the Day: To count one’s chickens before they hatch  = you should not make plans that depend on something good happening before you know that it has actually happened  E.g. She wanted  to buy a dress in case someone asked her to the dance, but I told her not to count her chickens before they hatched.
