  2. I think I agree with this statement. First of all, everyone is different and everyone has different character and preferences. Now is very important to read the books as reading is one of the best entertainment and a quality of intelligent person.
Nowadays people read everything and according to that we can judge a person. If someone loves reading books and the favorite kinds are romance and drama, we can think that this person is sentimental, sensitive and good-natured. Someone prefers horror stories with spooky plot they are thought to be courageous. Peoples who love philosophical books should be very wise and open-minded. Also, people like to read manga. I think that person love 2D worlds, all Asian staff and watching anime. And who loves reading comics should be very active and even maybe wants some supernatural power as they loves super heroes. Summing up, I want to say that books can form human character. Depending on what we read depend our way of thinking.

  3. Everyone is loving to read books. It does not make a difference you are little boy/girl or older man/woman. The caption of a book can tell to others who you are and what is your interests. All people read different books about history, science, superheroes, magicians, aliens, zombies, horror, detective and etc. I will say about that subjects of most popular books.
If you loving to read about history, trying to discover other countries you may be creative, well-memorizing but little boring in speaking.
If you reading about since you can improve memory with physical, mathematical, informatical and other laws to get incredible power for improving world progress.
If you love reading horrors, stories about love, zombies, ghosts and other undead creatures, comics about superheroes and other hobby books you are positive, elegant speech and interesting person.
In conclusion, reading books is a thing to improve your mind, get more possibilities and make you interesting in speaking, so it's a way to attract the attention of other people and get world glory.

  4. I agree with this. In my opinion, the works that we read have a great influence on us and on our character.
First of all, for example, if a person likes to read fiction, then she likes to dream and has a developed imagination. If person like the detectives then she love to think logically, analyze certain situations, actions of people and from this search solving crime together with main character.
But sometimes the works or their heroes, as far as it is to souls, that a person becomes dependent on a certain image, sometimes she takes over even the habits and preferences of her beloved heroes.

Consequently, books, of course, affect people and involved in shaping the outlook and character.

  5. I think statement “Tell me what you read and I'll tell you who you are" has a big part of truth, but not at all.
Everyone chooses books according to their interests and needs in everyday life or professional field. That why if you know what kind of books read some person you can find out what genres like this person and it can be really helpful in conversation. This information can say something about other people. Firstly, is it person interesting for you or have another tastes and preferences. For example, ask yourself, are you going to have a chat with person, who prefer reading historical novels? Why? Everyone finds an interlocutor with whom you can chat on common themes. And the basis of common themes are common interests. Someone found this person very boring, because he or she prefer reading about vivid adventures and have another interests, so it will be hard find a common topic for conversation, but another one find this lover of history the best interlocutor, because he ( or she or it ) like history very much, knows all the historical facts and books and can talk about them for days. But here is one exclusion. At school students forced to read works what teachers asked to read. And this does not mean that every first student is the patriot of Ukraine who incredibly likes the works of Taras Shevchenko and other famous Ukrainian writers.
Summing up, information about what kind of books like person can say something about he or she, but not all.

  6. I must say that I totally agree with this statement. Different people- different tastes and preferences. So I think that we can divide people into the groups, depending on their preferences in buying books. People who love reading encyclopedias for example, are very smart and curious personalities. If person loves reading romance, it means that he or she is very sensitive and sentimental. As for me, I love reading horror and detective stories, because these two genres are very interesting for me. The plot in both horror and detective stories is very exiting and won't let you get bored in.
I am temperamental, a bit nervous and curious person.
So I can say that person like me love reading horror and detective stories. And last but not least- fantasy and adventure stories. Person who prefers these kinds of books is really adventurous person or who has his or her head in the clouds.
To sum up, as I said I totally agree with following statement, because what you read can really tell who you are.

    Thanks for reading🌹

  7. I agree with it at all. Everybody like to read different genres of books. I think if people like to read for example detective stories he like to solve riddles or he can fast analyze and find a way out of the hard situation. I like books such as "Hunger Games" or "The Maze Runner" and "Harry Potter" of course. This books have the same genres, which i like. In my opinion you can say a lot of about me if you know genres of this books.

  8. Literature is a rather important part of our life. Some people read a lot of books, others read less. But I don't know a person who hasn't read at least one book in his or her life. As for the statement " Tell me what you read and I'll tell you who you are" I agree with it to some extent.
For example, if a girl likes to read romantic stories we may assume that she is of a sensitive tender nature. If a guy likes to read comics it is very likely that he is very active, always on the go and doesn't want to spent a lot of time reading long books. But I know people who like reading different books of different genres as they enjoy reading as it is. So in some cases the statement is true but not always.

  9. I agree with this statement. Despite of the fact, that nowadays people have many different ways, how to spend their free time, many people prefer reading books. Everyone of them has his own character and like different books. If you like books about adventure like "Indiana Jones" it means that you are a dreamer, if you like philosophical books about people and their behavior, for example, it means that you are sage, if you like books about love history it means that you are sentimental and romantic. Also, each author has his own writing style, and you can read compositions of different author and compare their thoughts and attitudes about some problems. You'll understand the defference, one of them can express thoughts with understanding and sympathy and another with indifference and conviction. Literature of different authors and gerne gives us possibility to read what we want and what we like.

  10. Tell me what you read and I will tell you who you are - this is a part of famous quote by Francois Mauriac, a famous French writer. And of course I totally agree with this statement! Reading is an integral part of our life and even if you don`t like reading it will haunt you throughout your life. But of course most part of peopple prefer reading as a great type of entetaiment. It is obvious that different people prefer different genres and types of books. For example huge amount of people read something just because it`s popular (like a lot of girls read Mangas). In my opinion, it means that they are trying to be trendy or that their circle of friends are found of it. Among the teenagers the most popular are detective and since-fiction books. In first variant the readers try to solve some criminal problems and etc. . Fanats of since-fiction literature try to live throught the life of their favourite hero. And of course there is a unique community - Harry Potter fans. Most of them are great dreamers and belive in kind magic. Or maybe you should not think over what to read and on what principle to choose literature for yourself. If the soul requires the reading of a classic, detective, adventure or even a love novel, then you can't refuse it. So it means that this statement is truth just on the 90%

  11. I agree with this quote. I think that books has an important role in our lives .
Firstly, the book broadens our outlook and fill up our knowledge. Secondly, book develops thinking and imagination. When you are reading a book you like to enter into another world, get acquainted with the characters and analyze their actions.
Everyone read books according to their preferences. If person Likes reading romance novels it most likely all sentimental nature. Readers inquisitive and active like usually books detective stories or horror.
So what we read is changing our thinking and influences on the formation of our character.

  12. I agree with this statement. A lot of peoples around the world love reading books.Someone for study, someone because he likes and all of them read books according to their own preferences and exactly this can tell about person. If person likes reading romance novels so its a romantic person, or if its a fantasic so it can say that the person is a dreamer. And there are many more examples.
In my opinion, books greatly influence the character of a person and thanks to this, knowing what the person reads, you can understend this person much better.

  13. I can not say that I fully agree with this statement. Yes, books have one advantage - they reveal the character of the person who reads them. People are different: good and evil, sincere and false, sad and cheerful. And so the choice of books in us is also different. Sentimental people love romance novels. Curious people like books about adventure or detective stories. But, I still do not agree with those who believe that the book you choose can judge a person and say who she is. If you literally understand the proverb, then it turns out that those who do not read at all are anyone in this life. But this is not the case. Among these people there are many interesting personalities. Yes, books definitely affect our lives, participate in the formation of our character. But, do not forget that if a person does not read, then it is not interesting and without character.

  14. I'm constantly agree with this statement. Books are very important in our life . With them we can forget about everything and go to another world with its own charms and problems. Moreover it's not a secret that books which we read form our personality.
Furthermore, after we have read a book we subconsciously copy some traits of main characters. According to this we can make conclusion about somebody's character just look on his or her books on the shelf.
Besides, while we are reading a book we are dreaming about adventures that are in the plot. Of course if we don't read a horror story. I think that people who love horror just want to make their life more thrilling.
All in all I can say that book preferences can help us to understand person's feelings, logic, actions...

  15. Books that person reads is a part of him/here - they make a man. Literature that we read makes a reflection in our minds, makes us better in some way. If you ask one person what he/she likes you can find out his/her tastes, preference, interests, maybe job or hobbies; it helps us to know this person better. But I don’t think that it reveals one body fully. The same book can be read by good and bad one.
People are different, so we can’t judge a person only know that he/she reads. Yes, we can make some conclusions leaning on books he/she prefer, but it doesn’t mean that now we know everything about this person.
Therefore, I agree with this statement but not completely.

  16. Hi)
    I agree with this statement.
Nowadays, most of people like to spend their time reading news or watching memes instead of reading interesting book. And I think that it’s not the best solution because reading is one of the ways to develop your brain, it’s like workout for him. Also, you should understand that your mind consists of the information that you input into your brain. So, by reading books you forming as a person.
Why I agree with this quote by Francois Mauriac «Tell me what you read and I'll tell you who you are is true enough, but I'd know you better if you told me what you reread.»? People prefer certain genre of books depending on their character. I think that if person like reading romantic books, it means that he or she is very sensitive and romantic(you have already read a lot of my classmates' comments, so I think you understand what I meant). But if someone re-read some book it means that he finds something similar in this book with his life. Or, maybe, he wants his life become similar to the life of the character of this book.

  17. Okey, "tell me what you read, and I'll tell you who you are" it's an old proverb made by smart people I think. But I'm not fully agree with this statement. Yeah, you can learn something about person from books which he read, but it just a small part of personality. If man read something about science, you can tell that he is smart, but it is not 100% chance that he is really smart. So I think from books you can learn something about person, but not much and no guarantee that this is true.😎

  19. To talk truly, i've read not so many books as i would like for my life. But every single book taught me something important.
Despite the fact that I can not assume that books have made me as I am now.
I can say that they gave me some expirience, showed me what to do and how to think in some life trouble.I think that this huge amount of books, that every person read throughout life develops in undeniable experience.
But I can't say that books influence on my temper, behaviour and my nature. I guess those things cant be obtained by reading books. It can help you to understand some things,it can be one of many components that make you a person, but not the main one. Reading books can improve your way of thinking and ‘’observing’’ around. It can give you lots of examples of situations and way of behavior in them.
But I’m sure, that the most important things you have to understand by living ’em by yourself.
So i have to disagree with the following statement, cause books may only help u,can give you an advice, but not to make you as a complete person.

  20. I think that reading books very important. Our parents or teachers always told us that it will improve our skills and creative thinking. Also you can become more interesting person by reading books. But the important role plays the type of book which you read. There is a proverb " Tell me what you read and I'll tell you who you are". I am completely agree with this proverb. The genre of book can tell about person a lot.
What about me, I love reading horrors or some fantastic books. It describes me as a dreaming person with a lot of new ideas. Truly, sometimes something comes to my mind and I try to bring them to life like writing a book or dye my hair in crazy colour.
So if you like to start an interesting conversation, try to talk about books!

Books play a huge role in our lives. Thanks to them, people develop the mind. They are the source of knowledge. The books have one more advantage they reveal the character of a person. People are different good and evil, hardworking and lazy, and this can be seen from the books they read..
We choose different books for reading. Sentimental people prefer romance novels. Readers of inquisitive like usually books about adventures or detective stories. So books strongly influence mental development and tell all about the person who reads them.

  22. I totally agree with this statement too :) Firstly, books that people choose can tell us about their interests, erudition and maturity. It's obvious that children don’t read something like historical novels, horror stories or books of philosophy and adults don’t read fairy tales so books that we read can even indicate our age. As we choose ourselves books that will read our choice shows on what we primarily pay attention, what is important for us in life and what we want to learn. Secondly, the information we receive from books fills us and affects our consciousness. Every book we read changes us. Often reading a book we compare situations from books to our lives and the main characters to us. This allows us to reflect and rethink something in our lives. Therefore, I always try to read books that will influence me well.

  23. I not completely agree with this statement. On my opinion, nowadays many people are forced to read certain books, so you can’t judge them according to literature the read. You should judge people by what they like to read. Also, some people read books not for joy but for sight of “high culture”. Other read literature, that like their surroundings. I like reading, because you can acquire some interest knowledge, learn new words and have lot of fun with this imaginative world. Though, sometimes, I don’t like what I read but I always trying to end that book to pay tribute to writer for his honourable work.

  24. I fully agree with this statement. Today, reading books is very popular and this is considered a manifestation of an intelligent person. They very well influence mental activity and help to think more deeply. But there are different genres, everyone chooses what he likes. For example, if a person chooses novels, then she is a sentimental and more creative person. If you like horror, then a person likes keen sensations. Comedy will love people who enjoy positive moments. In general, I can list a lot of facts about different genres for a long time. But I wanted to convey what a person chooses to read about his preferences. That is why in my opinion the statement is correct.

  25. I partly agree with this statement.
First of all, books are a reflections of person. If somebody likes reading love stories, for examples, he or she haves romantic spirit and feels lack love in life.
Also, literatures can tell about your muture. All children like reading faire tales, when their parents enjoy reading fiction of classic authors.
Besides, people usually associate themselves with main character of the book. And if this character similiar to them, they like it. So, you can learning some information about person if you only know his favourite character.
To conclude, I must say that all these hypothesis is subjective. Nobody can exactly say about the inner world of person and why, he or she, prefer reading some kind of literature.

  26. “Tell me what you read and I'll tell you who you are.” I thinks this is true statement, because a lot of people like reading and I know many popular writer who reading books and they were inspired by this and became famous writers. Of course i know people who look like angels and read only horror. But such people unit. So much people who read fantastic books, have good imagination and more dreamer than others. Who read romantic book more romantic. So I think that this true statement.
    P.S I like read detectives and fantasy😏
